My absence in the last two weeks has been the result of being completely overwhelmed by the down pouring of daily details. I have juggled so many freelance projects that my right mousing hand has actually cramped up and frozen like an overworked Macintosh on several haunting occasions. We have placed our first home on the market which has taken up all my tiny moments of free time picking up after a toddler or bursting into tears when I catch a glimpse of the FOR SALE sign. I am thrilled and anxious about moving on. But it is sad to say goodbye to the walls that surrounded you as you put your on wedding dress or farewell to the roof that sheltered your first born child.
For the last two weeks I have pulled more all-nighters than I ever did in college and I have simply been absent in taking care of myself. So today, as I gear up for returning to the gym, pay overdue bills and breathe for the first time in days, I am reminded of the absolutely wonderful moments I have had during this Ying and Yang of a month.
October 18. A truly joyful evening. I take my father to see Paul McCartney. For my lifetime we have shared a passion for the Beatles. After an amazing performance by Sir Paul, I finally understand the screaming, hysterical women crying in his presence.
Image by Steve Perez of the Detroit NewsThrough out October I share in another of my father's passions. The Chicago White Sox. If not up late for work, I am up watching the White Sox get closer and closer to the World Series. Late night phone calls are exchanged at every exciting play.
Image sent ot me from my cousin, Dave. October 26. Tadd and I celebrate our third anniversary watching the White Sox wins the series. Chicago sports aside, it is a wonderful feeling to know you are more in love this year than you were last... We spend so many moments simply grateful.
October 26, 2002October 31. I have the most fun I have ever had trick or treating with my energetic and eternally happy son. He is a riot, trying his hardest to mutter a "Trick or Treat" like his cousins running before him. He catches on quickly in his vintage costume worn by his father 33 years ago.
"The White Rabbit" from Alice in Wonderland. Tadd c. 1973. Zack c. 2005.The roller coaster continues. I am embracing the ups and downs. Glad to be back to my bloggin world. Please continue to visit.
